Craig is 22 years old and resides in Mission Viejo. Craig started playing chess at the age or five but gave up the game shortly thereafter. He started playing again when he turned fourteen.

During the last year Craig's rating has soared by almost 400 points! He's now a Chess Master. Craig credits his phenomenal success to two things:

  • The book Secrets of Modern Chess Strategy by IM John Watson which opened his eyes to how chess theory has evolved over the last ten years

  • And learning the French Defense, a reliable response to e4, which has helped make his game more solid.

Craig is a great inspiration to young players as well as "old duffers" who can still learn a trick or two.

Craig is available for private coaching. Contact Craig!
